General Warranty Guidelines

The following ONE YEAR limited warranty applies to you, the owner of a permanent installation of “solid surface” material installed by us. Warranty starts from the date of installation. We will repair or replace without charge our “solid surface” material if it fails due to any manufacturing defect during the first year after installation, except for damage caused by physical, chemical, or other abuse, damage from excessive heat, use in certain applications, or acts of nature.

“Physical, chemical or other abuse” includes any use of the installation that is unreasonable considering the normal and expected uses of such installations in a residence, and includes, but is not limited to, damage from vandalism, use of improper cleaning solutions, leaving substances, such as bleach or drain cleaner on the product without prompt cleaning, the dropping of heavy/sharp objects on the countertop which has not been maintained in accordance with our “Care & Maintenance” guide. Please see attached.

“Excessive heat” means exposure to heat of such a degree that white marks, white rings or cracks appear on the surface of the countertop. Common sense should be exercised by using a heat resistant pad or TRIVET when putting a hot object (pots, pans, etc..) directly from a heat source onto the countertop.

“Act of nature” include, but are not limited to, exposure to the outdoors, weather effects and fire.

This warranty also does not cover the failure of any caulk, adhesive, silicone or other finishing or maintenance accessory, including seam appearance.

Specific Rights

Reefwheel Supplies’ obligation is limited solely as describe herein. In providing repair or a replacement countertop, we will seek the best possible result, but exact colour match cannot be guranteed. Your warranty will continue from the original date of purchase and not from the date of repair or receipt of replacement of countertop.

Reefwheel Supplies shall not be liable in either tort or contract for any loss or direct, consequential or incidental damages arising out of the use or inability to use the countertop.

You shall reasonably cooperate with Reefwheel Supplies in our effort to perform our obligations under this warranty.
